It's Official: Global WARMING, R.I.P.

Ok, President Obama is sending out the memo: Global 'warming" is no longer politically correct.  From this day forward, we shall call it "global climate disturbance."

Now, you don't have to be Isaac Newton to realize what profound consequences this proclamation has.

The science of global warming has always been flawed.

How do I dare utter that phrase?  It's very basic logic.  If the science of global warming was sound, then its disciples wouldn't be worried about finding an alternate slogan to describe the obvious social agenda underlying it.  As I stated in a previous post, the "debate" about global warming was supposedly over.  Mind you, this banner has been waving over every left wing institution, including our colleges and universities, for decades.  Al Gore has made a career on trying to prove man-made global warming.  The U.N. sponsored endless commissions and produced declarations ad nauseum predicting doom and gloom due to global warming.

And now we are supposed to just accept the fact that it's no longer P.C. to call it global warming?  Really?

Science has always been (or should be) politically neutral.  What that means for the average Joe is, a theory about any physical or natural phenomenon is just that: a theory.  It must withstand testing, and re-testing, under rigorous conditions.  Time is a scientific theory's best friend.  "Urgent" public policy has never been a pre-condition for a theory being proven or disproven.  In other words, we don't put the legislative "cart" before the scientific "horse."

So for a supposedly rock solid theory like global warming to suddenly undergo a public relations make-over is a blatantly transparent political move.  The value in convincing people that global warming, or global "climate disturbance," is not found in the science.  It is the end game that matters: taxation without representation (e.g., cap-and-trade legislation) and government intrusion on steroids. Class warfare, not scientific certainty, is driving the debate on the left.  The environment is being trashed, not only by man, but especially by Capitalist man.  The environment is to be redistributed, just like income.  Hence cap-and-trade and similar legislation.

Give the left credit, though.  They realized that to sell this "snake oil," a catch-all phrase like "climate global disturbance" fits the bill.  Sure, the skeptics managed to cast doubt on their ridiculous, almost religious belief in man-made global warming.  So now, they must be thinking, they must disprove that there's such a thing as a climate disturbance; and good luck with that, right?
